Bernard Shen is a Principal Geotechnical Engineer with over 20 years’ experience in a variety of geotechnical practice areas including design and construction of rail and road tunnels. He was the lead designer for the excavation and primary support for Sydney Metro Hunter Street Station Cavern, Victoria Cross Station cavern, Cross River Rail Roma Street Station cavern and Westconnex (M4 East and Rozelle Interchange) road tunnels. He also lead the construction phase geotechnical teams on Sydney Metro Northwest and Cross River Rail in undertaking geotechnical verification during tunnelling.
