K. Acharya has over nine years of experience in geology, geotechnical engineering, and tunnelling. He has a double master’s degree in Engineering Geology & Geotechnics from France and Tunnelling & Tunnel Boring Machines from Italy. He has gained diverse international experience in various geotechnical and tunnelling projects in Italy, Nepal and France. Since arriving in Australia 4 years ago, Mr. Acharya has contributed to major projects in Australia; Snowy 2.0, Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport, Cross River Rail Project, and Inland Rail Project from tender/detailed design to design review and construction phase service. Currently, Mr. Acharya is the design coordinator for Future Generation JV (contractor), seconded from Pini Australia Pty Ltd. He oversees the design and construction of a power station complex, including caverns, shafts, and tunnels.
