Luke is a Chartered Professional Engineer with over 20 years’ experience within the fire safety engineering industry gained from working across a range of specialist fields, in over 40 countries, providing fire engineering consultancy services to the Oil, Gas, petrochemical, heavy industry, rail and road tunnel infrastructure and commercial built environment. Specialising in the local and international fire and life safety engineering principles in underground rail tunnels and station structures, numerical calculation, control systems for railways, and road tunnels; Luke’s capabilities include holistic smoke management strategies, mass transit evacuation analysis, structural fire assessments and risk analysis for underground stations and tunnels. Luke has extensive experience undertaking crowd dynamics assessments working in a diverse range of projects using crowd micro-simulation modelling software, with experience producing detailed assessments of crowd movements, normal and emergency behaviours, across a range of business sectors. Luke’s experience engaging with varied stakeholder groups, including but not limited to project delivery teams, cross-functional alliances, transport operators and governing bodies, enables him to consistently deliver successful operational and project targets.
